Children
God focused. Family Driven.
At First Baptist Gatesville, we take seriously our commitment to help families as they raise their children to be all God has created them to become. We have weekly activities that all work together to help us achieve this goal.
Sunday
Sunday School
Through age appropriate lessons and fun activities, your child will develop biblical foundations as they learn about the Christian faith and how it applies to their life. We have some amazing teachers who desire to share their love for the Lord as they teach and encourage children. Kid's Area; 9:45 AM
Children's Sermon
A time in our weekly worship service dedicated to our children and helping them learn Biblical truths. Sactuary; During Worship Service
Kid's Church
During our morning worship services on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, our children, 4 years old-4th grade, are invited to go with Mrs. Laura and a group of caring adults to worship God and experience His presence in a hands-on, fun, kid's friendly environment. Kid's Area; During Worship Service
Nursery
While parents are in BeCOMe Groups and Morning Worship, we invite children from birth to 3 years old, to come play and be cared for by our nursery volunteers. Nursery Area; 9:30 AM
Wednesday
Kid's Worship Choir
Each week we have a time of worship and singing. We also get songs ready to sing in our Sunday Worship Services. Have your singing voice ready! Your whole family is welcome to join us! Kid's Area; 5:30 PM
Dinner for Kids
Because we know listening ears are most often attached to full bellies, we serve free dinner for our kids each week. Fellowship Hall; 5:45 PM
Wednesday Night Clubs
On Wednesday evenings during the school year we offer Bible-centered, church-based, mission education clubs for kids of all ages.

Royal Ambassadors (R.A.'s) is the group for 1st through 6th grade boys. R.A.'s learn to live out the R.A. pledge to become well informed followers of Christ. The boys are divided into groups by age and led by Christian men through the Lad and Crusaders guides. To learn more, visit www.royalambassadors.org. Fellowship Hall; 6:00 PM
Girls in Action (G.A.'s) is the group for 1st through 6th grade girls. G.A.'s learn to live out the G.A. pledge by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and participating in the work of the church. The children of today are the missions' leaders of tomorrow; G.A.'s encourages girls to learn about God's love, become aware of the needs of others, learn the importance of prayer; and start doing missions themselves. To learn more, visit www.gapassport.com. GA Room; 6:00 PM

Mission Friends is the group for preschoolers (ages birth through kindergarten). Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news! To learn more, visit www.missionfriends.com. Nursery Area; 6:00 PM

Mother's Day Out
A program parents can take advantage of where the children can be left in the loving hands of Christian ladies to be taken care of while their parents have some time for themselves. Children will have a fun time building their social skills by playing with children their own age. Mothers Day Out happens each Tuesday of the school year. For more information about enrollment, contact the church office.
Vacation Bible School
A yearly tradition of FBCG is a week long time of fun and learning about the Bible we call VBS. Kids love the exciting games, songs, and Bible adventures. 2012's theme is Sky--Everything is Possible with God. Sky is intentionally designed to connect your kids to God, create change in their hearts, and provide them with actionable ways to share God's love with others.
