Church secretary position at first Baptist church, Gatesville. Gatesville, Texas 76528

Ensures an efficient operation of the assigned area of responsibilities, provides clerical and other services for the church with professionalism, confidentiality, and loyalty.

Pay/Benefits: Commensurate with experience

Job type: Full time

Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:00 AM-5:00PM) and Friday (8:00 AM-12:00PM)

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma

Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience as an office secretary

Special knowledge/skills required:

Self starter with effective organizational, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills. (People person)

Proficient use of personal computer and MS office software to develop spreadsheet, databases, documents, publications, and slideshows

Ability to use phone systems, copiers, digital scanner, digital camera, VGA projector, fax, etc

Ability to use the internet for interaction and research

Knowledge of basic accounting principals with ability to maintain accurate and auditable records

Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment

Advanced typing and file maintenance skills

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, church members, church volunteers, and the public

Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills

Possess basic website management skills using word press

Ability to multi-task and focus on assignments at task

Ability to take direction
